I am here for you to succeed and to enjoy this class. So because I care about all of you, I will not allow you to do anything that will interfere with your success or the success of others trying to learn. Nor will I allow you to do anything that will interfere with all of us having an enjoyable year. So that we can learn and I can teach, I have a set of rules to ensure we have an orderly classroom:
- Show respect for each other.
- Come to class prepared.
- Study and do your own work.
- No food or drink
- Follow all rules in the student handbook.
If You Choose to Break a Rule:
- First time: Name on board. Warning.
- Second time: One check: 15 minutes after school on Thursday
- Third time: Two checks: 30 minutes after school on Thursday and parents called.
- Fourth time: Three checks: 45 minutes after school on Thursday and parents called.
- Fifth time: Four checks: 60 minutes after school on Thursday, written note to office, parents called and student sent to office
- Severe disruption: Student sent immediately to office and parents called.
Consequences of Following Rules:
- Encouragement from your teacher and your fellow students.
- A positive note or phone call home.
- An enjoyable, interesting, and challenging class.
