By the end of this unit, a successful student will be able to:
- Recognize that moving electric charges produce magnetic forces and moving magnets produce electric forces. (36.3, 36.5-36.8) (MCAS 5.6)
- Recognize that the interplay of electric and magnetic forces is the basis for electric motors, generators, and other technologies. (37.1-37.4) (MCAS 5.6)
- Plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence that an electric current can produce a magnetic field and that a changing magnetic field can produce an electric current. (NGSS HS-PS2-5)
