This course is an intensive, college preparatory, lab-based introduction to chemistry. It is expected that students possess significant math skills that can be used to support data collection and interpretation, as well as theoretical knowledge. Topics will include: lab safety, measurement, properties of matter, nuclear chemistry, chemical bonding, chemical reactions and equations, the mole, stoichiometry, gas laws, electron configurations, and the periodic table.
Prerequisite: Strongly recommended that Algebra II Honors is completed before or taken concurrently
