Attendance
I understand that marching band is a class and attendance will be taken at every rehearsal and performance.
I understand that ALL PERFORMANCES ARE MANDATORY.
I understand that ALL REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY. (Illness or pre-arranged absences excluded.)
I understand that when school starts, the band rehearses on Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-9:00pm, Saturdays 9-5pm, on Friday Football game days after school, and on competition Saturdays.
I understand that the June camp, Pre-Camp, Band Camp, Post-Camp (August) rehearsals are all MANDATORY rehearsals.
Conduct
I understand that marching band is a class and that all GBHS rules apply.
I understand that the student will receive a GRADE for marching band.
I understand that the director(s) can decide who performs at each performance. Students may be told they can not perform based on their attendance, performance and/or behavior.
FINANCES
I understand I am responsible for the $750 marching band fee.
I understand that all previous band, winter guard and winter drumline fees must be paid in full to be considered as a member.
I understand this contract and a $100 deposit must all be turned in to be considered as a member. (June 11th, 2024)
I understand that ALL payments are to be made online and are NON-REFUNDABLE.*
I understand that if the student quits or are removed from the ensemble due to disciplinary reasons, we are still responsible for the full marching band fee. ($750)
I understand that payment dates are FIRM unless prior arrangements have been made with the GBHS Band Boosters. Students who miss payments without making arrangements with the Band Boosters will be unable to attend rehearsals and performances until arrangements have been made.
EQUIPMENT/UNIFORM
I understand that the member is responsible for all equipment and uniforms that are on loan to me.
I understand that the student must properly take care of all equipment and uniforms that are on loan to me.
I understand that all equipment and uniforms belong to the band and must be returned at the end of the season.
I understand that if the student loses or damages any equipment, I am responsible for the replacement cost of the item.
