Matchmaker Program

Did your potential adopter decide your foster wasn't the right fit? Refer the adopters to the Matchmaker!

GPG's Matchmaker program is designed for the adoption team to explore with potential adopters which GPG animals might best be a fit for their home environment and lifestyle. Here are some tips on how to utilize this program for your foster.

• Email dogmatchmaker@gatewaypets.org (for dogs) or catmatchmaker@gatewaypets.org (for cats) with info on your foster pet so they can help match-make them with a potential adopter.

• If you have an application that doesn't work for your foster pet but may work for another GPG cat or dog, please e-mail the application and details to catmatchmaker@gatewaypets.org for cats and dogmatchmaker@gatewaypets.org for dogs.

• If your foster is a fit for a family identified through the Matchmaker, an email will come from the adoption team asking for you to follow up with the potential family ASAP.
