Most people only think of the holocaust, but plenty of other things happened. This book gives details about all of the events that happened during that time. Like the pencil pistol that was invented during that time which works by unscrewing the end and inserting a 6.35 mm cartridge. The casing contained a spring-loaded hammer to fire the cartridge, which was released by a button on the side. Another interesting aspect is how people in Europe felt about being invaded by the Germans. At first, their response was uncoordinated and ineffectual. There were partisan groups who were fighting with British, American, and Russian forces against the Germans. This book tells about the prisoners and all the battles that occurs during WWII.
World War II gives information about the liberation of the camps. The liberation of Europe from German and Italian rule was a long drawn out affair. Victory over Germany is also well documented; the unconditional surrender of German forces took place at 2:41 am on May 7, 1945 in a small schoolhouse in Rheims, France. This book details all the awards the all the soldiers earned during the war. This resource is recommended to anyone who is interested in WWII or the holocaust.
