Smoking, by Gail B. Stewart tells readers about how smoking affects the body. This book also gives information about starting smoking and how to stop smoking. It is said that in this book teens are more prone to start smoking, whether the cause is stress related or because of peer pressure . According to Stewart more than 4,500 people start smoking every day.
Unfortunately sometimes it may be too late to quit smoking, smoking can lead to cancer and overtime can cause a heart attack or stroke. Gail B. Stewart gives an amazing variety of information about smoking, what leads up to it and the overall outcome. If a student were to complete a research project this would definitely be a book that would be recommended. But if a student is just reading it, for fun, this book would probably stay on the shelf, Although the book gives good detailed information and facts, it’s not the kind of book that is read for entertainment. Being that this does involve a form of drug, it is not recommended that a Minor read this unless it is for informational reasons.
