Tuesday

Students read sections of a chapter from a Writer's Circle manual and then presented to class. A copy of the chapter is available in the CW Text book.

Wednesday

Celebrating the 2nd annual Digital Learning Day

story collaborative creation

using the Creative Writing Wiki - students (in groups, assigned differently than writing circle) defined a setting, two characters (main and villian), conflict, and a unique twist. Then going back to their own group, they took a conflict, character, villian, and setting to their own writer's circle to create a collaborative short story.

Thursday

Finish the Creative Writing Wiki activity from Wednesday. Use this story as a practice for critiquing. Groups will print 5 copies of each story for the other groups to have and critique using established rules (from CW Textbook activity). Highlights are noted here.

Friday

Vocabulary 2 Test

Groups continued to work on the "Writer's Circle Critque". One more story to complete on Monday.
