Southpaw Boxing and Kickboxing affiliates with Kickboxing Federation of Singapore

Southpaw Boxing and Kickboxing Club, and UWCSEA East Campus, are proud to announce their affiliation with the Kickboxing Federation of Singapore (KFS).

UWCSEA East Campus is the first school in Singapore to affiliate with the Kickboxing Federation of Singapore. The KFS is a not-for-profit governing body for the sport of Kickboxing in Singapore. They are members of the World Association Of Kickboxing Organization (WAKO) who are recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the official global governing body for the sport of Kickboxing. Holiday Activities Programme Week 4 Update

Hello everyone! Week 4 is the final week of our extensive holiday activities programme.

We were greeted with a heavy downpour on the first day of the week but that did not dampen the spirits of our students and staff/instructors. The canteen was greeted with many "Hello" and "Good Mornings" as students streamed in for the morning & afternoon reporting.

As the week went by, the daily programmes running on campus seemed like a norm. It was a bittersweet feeling as Friday approached and activities came to an end. A huge "Thank You" to all our student helpers who have been assisting us with the programmes and photo taking.

Thank you to all families who have been part of our Holiday Activities Programme. The programme would not have been successful without your participation. Parents will be notified when photos are available for the specific activities in which their child took part. Please expect the notice once the activities have been fully completed.

A short survey will go out to parents today and we would be very grateful if you could find some time to fill up this feedback form.

Thank you and see you in August 2021.

Holiday Activities Programme Week 3 Update

Hello everyone! We are in our second week of the Holiday Activities Programme and we are excited to be on campus.

This week, we saw many returning students who were here to join a different activity and pursuing their passion.  A short chat with some of them, gave us insights that they were enjoying their camps and were looking forward to attending them every day.

The campus came alive once again as students engaged themselves in activities that challenged their mind, body and soul. The Bakabee activity and Top chef students were treated to 5 days worth of amazing hands-on experience in the community kitchen. As tiring as it was to clean up after, the providers said it without hesitation that - "It was worth it!".

We look forward to seeing you next week.

Holiday Activities Programme Week 2 Update

Hello everyone! This will be the first of a few blog posts to provide the UWCSEA Community updates on the current Holiday Activities Programme for the 2021 summer. Students have registered for over 100 listed activities taking place in the next few weeks. This Monday initiated Week 2 of the HAP as students were delighted to be back on campus for various activities. These activities covered a wide assortment of categories such as indoor & outdoor sports, arts & creativity, as well as STEM-related sessions. We've accommodated students of all ages in our community ranging from K1 all the way up until Grade 12.

Upon arrival, students were welcomed by our lovely security team to ensure they had used SafeEntry to check in and that their temperatures were at healthy conditions. After registering with the activities team, they were escorted to their activity venue with the company of the staff.

This programme has provided a way for students to occupy their summertime with engaging and entertaining activities with similarly aged students. Even when faced with adversity, students managed to overcome certain challenges and meet the goals in their respective activities.

Please stay tuned for more updates such as this one in the coming weeks! We have also posted on our Instagram @uwcsea_activities so please follow us if you have not already done so!

Parents will be notified when photos are available for the specific activities in which their child took part. Please expect the notice once the activities have been fully completed. This programme would not have been possible without the interest of families in participating in such exciting events on our wonderful campus.
