Activities

Our Activities programme at UWCSEA includes both adult and student-led all activities other than Service and Outdoor Education. Examples below are ones that make meaningful or integrated connection to the Sustainable Development Goals for the Planet pledge. Please do contact nhu@uwcsea.edu.sg if you would like to share more like these.

• Solar for Dover is a student - led activity that developed from a Grade 5 Exhibition Project and raises funds through our UWCSEA Foundation. You can find out more in the Building and operations page.
• Biosverde are another student-led group that works to raise awareness of renewable energy. They have brought their project to classes such as the I.B Environmental Systems and Societies course.
• Bike Users Group

• Eco-rangers are a grade 4 & 5 group training up leaders in Environmental Stewardship and a key part of the Primary School's engagement with Environmental Stewardship. They work on a wide range of environmental issues but reducing and managing waste have been key themes for their action in 2016. They regularly post on the Environmental Stewardship blog.
• Fashion Upcycling activities occur at both campuses inspired by visiting artists as well as local up-cycling guru Agy who was based at our Community Lab at East campus. Clothes swaps and interest in Sustainable Fashion is a growing feature of events such as our Holiday Fairs and workshops in the Community Lab and IDEAS Hub.
