Programme Content:
Global Voices - Global Events and Public Speaking for Young Leaders!
In an increasingly interconnected world, the ability to communicate effectively and understand the world around us is a crucial skill for young students. The global events programme and Public Speaking programme aim to equip primary and middle school students with the tools they need to become confident public speakers and global citizens. Through a combination of learning about different world events and public speaking, this program empowers students to articulate their thoughts, connect with diverse audiences, and become future global leaders.
Programme Structure:
Build Confidence in Public Speaking:
Help students develop the self-assurance needed to speak in front of an audience through practice, feedback, and exposure to various speaking formats.
Develop Narrative Skills:
Teach students how to craft compelling speeches with structure, emotion, and purpose. Whether they are sharing personal experiences, presenting ideas, or advocating for change, students will learn to engage their audience effectively.
Foster Critical Thinking and Persuasion:
Guide students in organising their thoughts, presenting logical arguments, and persuading listeners. Students will learn to think critically about their message and adapt it to different audiences.
Promote Global Awareness and Cultural Understanding:
Incorporate global themes into speech and storytelling, encouraging students to consider diverse perspectives and issues that affect the world. This will prepare them to participate meaningfully in global conversations.
Encourage Collaboration and Peer Feedback:
Create an environment where students learn to work together, support each other, and offer constructive feedback to improve their communication skills.
Mind reflex and thinking on your feet:
Through engaging practice, students will master the art of impromptu speaking, developing quick thinking skills and the confidence to articulate ideas on the spot.
