Scheduling Conferences
Parent- Teacher conferences will be on Monday October 25th and November 1st. This is an opportunity for parents to learn how their student is progressing half way through the semester.
Conference expectations:
Split your conferences between both nights between 4 – 8 p.m..
Each student in your Connections will have a folder with pertinent information for you to share with student/parent(s) briefly (5 – 10 minutes).
Please strongly emphasize to parents to visit with all teachers where the students is not performing well (highlight this/give room numbers).
Please reach out to any students parents that you have in class that are failing (or close to) and/or that you have behavior concerns about to encourage them to meet with you.
Post your schedule for both nights so parents can easily see when you are available.
Encourage parents to stop by tables in the commons for resources.
Be sure you are reaching out to parents yourself to schedule or confirm the conference. Don’t rely only on the students to communicate because it is often not shared at home.
Space out times of conferences so you have openings if other parents drop in.
Spanish Translators will be assigned hallways, primarily to help with struggle grades conversation from content teachers, instead of passing out advisory folders. Sign up For Tigrinya translators Here
