What is the Concentration? It is a collection of 12 images that represent an in-depth exploration of a visual idea. It is not simply a series of works depicting the same subject, or done in the same media - the AP graders want to see growth and/or discovery over time. It can be a visual theme (like landscape) or a conceptual theme (like identity). This section of the portfolio is where you really want your artistic voice to emerge.
There is a lot of great information out there on the web to help you generate ideas for a concentration. You need to choose something that holds enough personal interest for you to sustain you through 12 projects. Check out these resources and then start brainstorming lists of possible concentration ideas in your sketchbook.
