Migrating from FunnelBud Close to Flow

You can use this template to help you plan your migration. Please follow instructions in each tab.

Custom fields:

Custom fields cannot be exported and must be recreated manually in FunnelBud Flow. Make sure to select All Contact fields to see all your contact custom fields.

However, you don't need to recreate all custom fields, just choose the ones that are relevant to keep in Flow. 

Contact tags:

Contact tags cannot be exported and must be recreated manually in FunnelBud Flow.

Contact notes:

Exporting contact notes is only available in paid migration. Please contact us if you want to migrate your contact notes.

Standard email and landing page templates:

These are included in every FunnelBud Flow instance. These templates come pre-designed and can be customized to align with your design preferences.

Forms and Custom form styles:

Forms need to be recreated in FunnelBud Flow. You can use the form builder in Flow to recreate your custom form styles. We suggest recreating only the forms that are active in last 12 months.

Native forms integrated with 3rd-party forms:

3rd-party form integrations cannot be migrated. These forms need to be integrated using connectors like Zapier. Please contact us if you want us to build this integration for you.

Emails and Email Templates:

Emails and email templates need to be recreated in FunnelBud Flow. You can use the email builder in Flow to recreate emails and email templates. We suggest recreating recurring emails (like newsletters, etc), automated emails like autoresponders and nurturing emails, and updated email templates only.

Landing pages and Landing page templates:

LPs and LP templates need to created manually  FunnelBud Flow. Please note that not at all published LPs need to be created. Check if you're still using the LP and recreate only those are actively used. You can use the funnel builder in Flow to recreate LPs and LP templates.

Lists:

Static lists can be migrated by exporting the list from Close and importing them to Flow. (Related instructions: How to export leads in a list from Close and How to import contacts in Flow)

Rules-based lists can be recreated as smart lists in Flow. Make sure that all custom fields used in rules-based lists are already migrated to Flow before creating smart lists. Please note that some list rules in Close are not available in Flow. In this case, we suggest getting help from our experts on how to create these smart lists.

Automations:

Visual workflows, opportunity workflows and action groups need to be recreated in Flow. Please note that sometimes advanced automations cannot be recreated "as is" in Flow. We suggest getting help from our experts to create these automations.

Media Files:

How to migrate trackable media files:

Creating a trigger link for relevant media files will allow you to track who clicked and viewed the files.

Media files like logos and other graphics used in emails and landing pages can be migrated as regular media files. No need to create trigger links.

Chatbot and Chatbot Workflows:

FunnelBud Flow has a chat widget that can replace your chatbot in Close. Please check: How to create chat widget

Chatbot workflows cannot be migrated to Flow.

Sales Assets:

Accounts can be migrated as Companies to Flow. However, only the company name will be recreated; custom company fields cannot be added.

The following need to be recreated manually in Flow:

Users:

Users need to be recreated in Flow. Please check: Settings: Staff on how to add, edit and delete team members in Flow.
