Kelly Mill Family,
We’ve had a great week here at KME, and we’re looking forward to another exciting one ahead! Next week, we are proud to celebrate and show our appreciation for our incredible assistant principals. Thank you, Mrs. Shadburn, Mr. Callahan, and Mrs. Hickey, for all you do each day to support our students and staff. You take care of the countless details that keep our school running smoothly and safely, and we are so grateful for your leadership and care.
As we look ahead, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is coming soon March 30- April 3, and we are excited to celebrate the amazing educators and staff who pour so much into our students each day. We invite our families to join us in showing gratitude—please be sure to check out the newsletter below for ways you can help us recognize and appreciate our team.
Spring is definitely in the air, and we have a few fun things coming up! Students will take Spring Pictures next Tuesday, and on Thursday, we’ll kick off the MLB season by inviting everyone to wear their favorite team jerseys or baseball attire.
We’re also continuing to build momentum with our March Madness goals, with classes earning rewards and students being recognized as MVPs for showing what it means to be a Colt who CARES.
It’s a great time to be a Colt who CARES!
Be sure to take time to rest, recharge, and relax with those you love!
Love,
Mrs. Moity

In an effort to minimize disruptions to learning, support campus safety, and ensure front office can operate efficiently we will only accept the following items:
*Lunches
*Water Bottles
*Eyeglasses
*Medications
Please make every effort to establish a routine at home for bringing these necessary items to school each morning. We will not interrupt the learning environment to take personal items to classrooms or call the classroom to send your child to the office to retrieve any items.
All drop off items listed below must be dropped off in the front office by 10:30 AM.
To ensure a safe and smooth dismissal, afternoon student check‑out will conclude at 1:30 PM. Check‑outs after this time cannot be accommodated due to dismissal preparations and limited time to communicate changes to teachers.
We'd love your input on your child's learning preferences and the ideal classroom environment for their success. This information is vital for us to ensure the best placement.
Please share details about your child's personality, how they interact with others (self-advocacy, functioning in a crowd, leader/follower), and any other helpful insights. Your comprehensive feedback, combined with input from current/former teachers and counselors, helps us better understand their placement needs.
While we are unable to honor specific teacher requests, you are welcome to mention if another child of yours had a positive experience with a particular teacher.
Please submit a separate form for EACH child by Friday, April 17th.
Kelly Mill 4th Quarter After School Activities will go live on Monday, March 16th. Sign up for a variety of options. Check out our website for more information: https://kellymill.forsyth.k12.ga.us/student-services/clubs
Did you see a special guest in today’s carline?
We had a visit from FCSDuck Splash!
Since 2016, the FC Education Foundation has been a feathered friend to
FCS by providing over $830,000 in grants for our kids and teachers. From
last year’s Duck Dive, we were able to give out 36 grants totaling $135,000
to schools. Our Annual Duck Dive for Education will officially kick off on
March 2nd, and we need you and your school to be a quacker backer!
Students, employees, and the community are invited to adopt rubber ducks
and join the raffle for the chance to win $10,000. The duck adoptions are
$10 each. We will begin sales in the schools and community through March
25th at 11:59PM. The Duck Dive will take place on Friday March 27th at
8AM at the Partner Connect breakfast at the Junior Achievement Discovery
Center and will be broadcast virtually.

Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, our community comes together to send in items so the KME staff can enjoy a delicious meal. This annual tradition will be celebrated on Monday, March 30th. We are so thankful that Ellianos Coffee will once again be donating delicious hot and iced coffee for the entire staff, but we can’t do it without YOU! Please sign up to donate items for our Brunch of Love below.
Last year, the teachers loved selecting from a variety of $10 gift cards and snacks from our snack cart, so we decided to do it again. Gift card donations will be due Monday, March 30th.
