Kelly Mill Family,
We had four full days of excitement and learning this week, capped off with a fun celebration of the 100th day of school! It’s hard to believe we are already more than halfway through the school year. We are so thankful for these 100 days of learning, growing, and making memories together.
As you know, the upcoming weather forecast has us preparing for the possibility of winter storms, which could lead to inclement weather days. Please see the message below from Forsyth County Schools with important updates:
Saturday and Sunday, January 24–25, 2026
Out of an abundance of caution, all athletics and school activities are canceled, and all district facilities will be closed.
Looking ahead to next week
Our team will continue to closely monitor weather, facilities, and road conditions. We will share updates as early as possible, with an initial update by 5:00 PM Saturday and no later than 5:00 PM Sunday if a school closure is needed.
Please continue to check our website for the latest information. Any decisions or schedule changes will also be shared directly with families via Parent Portal Messenger.
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Thank you for your patience and support.

Forsyth County Schools
In the event that we have an online learning day, please be sure your child logs into Canvas to access their online learning plans. In the event of power outages, please don't stress. Students have 3 days upon returning to school to complete online learning day assignments.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We hope you enjoy a safe, cozy weekend, and we look forward to the learning ahead—whatever the weather may bring!

We are excited to announce the Grand Opening of our Dream Dress Closet to support our upcoming Daughter Date Night on February 21!
To ensure every daughter has the opportunity to feel confident and special, we are collecting new or gently used dresses for elementary-aged girls. Dresses should be clean and in good condition (no stains or tears).
Donation Details:
• Sizes: Girls 5–14 (or equivalent)
• Drop-off Location: [Front Office / Shadburn’s Office]
• Donation Deadline: February 12th
Families who would like to receive a dress may do so by contacting your child’s counselor.
