The rotate command will turn selected objects about a point.
1) Select objects to be rotated
2) Activate the rotate command by selecting the Rotate button OR by typing in "rotate" and hitting enter
3) Specify base point (point that objects will turn about)
4) Specify angle to turn object (Remember that AutoCAD measures angles counter-clockwise from the positive x-axis)
The objects will be rotated and the command will end.
The stretch command will extend objects.
1) Activate the stretch command by selecting the Stretch button OR by typing in "stretch" and hitting enter
2) Use a selection window to select objects to be stretched. **If an object is completely selected, it will be moved instead of stretched**
3) Specify base point from where the stretch will begin
4) Specify the second point which is the distance and direction of the stretch
Note: Some objects cannot be stretched as it will change their definition (e.g. circles, ellipses, and blocks).
The objects which were partially selected will be stretched while the objects that were completely selected will be moved and the command will end. Depending on the design, it may be necessary to use the trim/extend commands to clean up the result.
The scale command will proportionally enlarge or reduce the size of selected objects.
1) Select objects to be scaled
2) Activate the scale command by selecting the Scale button OR by typing in "scale" and hitting enter
3) Specify base point (point that objects will scale from)
4) Specify scale factor (For example, 2 will make the object twice as large while 0.5 will make it half the size)
The object will be enlarged/reduced while the original will be erased and the command will end. To keep the original object and create the scaled one, select the Copy option in the status bar before Step 4.
