The certification is awarded based on the individual's performance on the project-based exam, where exam candidates are required to work through the questions directly in the Autodesk application. All exams were created based on the research about design and Engineering skills required by industry, government, and education.
The certification exams are not based on a specific year release of the software, but instead on a series of fundamental tasks and questions to ensure successful use of the platform. The exam will work with the three latest software releases of AutoCAD.
