Understand your status.
Certification in Progress You have not yet completed all four components.
Not Yet Achieved You have attempted all four components, but not yet met the three score requirements. You have the opportunity to proceed with a retake.
Did Not Achieve Certification You have attempted all four components, but not yet met the three score requirements. You have used retake attempts for one or more components and/or are in your fifth year of candidacy.
Read and understand your report. Look at recent information shared by NBPTS.org including Understanding Your Score Report.
Review your retake options and considerations.
Know your deadlines and timelines. Retake Fee Support is an application process. The SY 26 cycle application is open from April 1-July 1, 2025. Information will be posted in the Employee News Bulletin and Schoology for Fee Support.
Cost Reminder: FCPS/MSDE will cover the cost of ONE retake.
