National Board Certification Information for FCPS Educators
FCPS supports active candidates pursuing National Board Certification (NBC) AND Maintenance of Certification (MOC) in the following areas:
Asynchronous resources
Partnership with MSDE for credit opportunities in conjunction with pursuing and maintaining certification
Partnership with MSDE to offset cost of certification through fee support
Partnership with Hood College, McDaniel College and more for complementary coursework
Initial candidate cohorts (FCPS Launch) support the first year of candicacy (has a limited number of participant slots avialble.)
As FCPS educators determine how they want to proceed professionally by choosing personalized pathways for professional development, one possible option is seeking National Board Certification.
