When and Where are the Auditions?

Gifted and Talented Visual and Performing Arts including auditions for SCAPA Lafayette are recorded and submitted through every middle and high school in the district throughout January and scored by a panel of arts educators from across the district. SCAPA Lafayette is no longer conducting in-person auditions. Your GT specialist or arts teacher at your FCPS school will help you prepare & submit your application and audition.

On the first Monday in December, gifted resource teachers and FCPS arts teachers district-wide will receive detailed information regarding the new district-wide process. All prepared and on-demand portions of the auditions will be submitted on video. Your school arts teacher or gifted and talented resource teacher will help with submission. 

Students who are not currently enrolled in FCPS will participate in the process on a weekday to record prepared and on-demand activities for submission to the district VPA audition committees.
