Minimal Pairs Approach
Minimal Pairs Approach
Description: The therapeutic use of pairs of words that differ by only one phoneme
For example:
boat and bow
toat and toe
lake and lay
Clients with consistent phonological process disorders such as fronting, or final consonant deletion would be good candidates for this approach
Activity: A fun activity for this approach would be to do a matching game with Webber Phonology cards to have the child demonstrate understanding by differiatiating the pairs
