Maximal Oppositions
Maximal Oppositions
Similar to minimal pairs approach but includes paired sounds that are vastly different from one another. This method would work well for children 3:6 - 5:0 who demonstrate at least six sounds that are missing from their phonological inventory.
Target Word Selection: The therapist should select two sounds that are not in the childs phonemic inventory that are very different from one another
Treatment: includes imitation and spontaneous production.
