Description: Evaluation of articulation and phonology skills of people 18 months (1:6) to 21 years old. Consists of word and sentence articulation and phonology tests that can be administered individually or in combination. Can be used in a variety of settings to provide information on an individual's speech sound abilities.
Age Range: 1:6 - 21:0
Administration Time: 5 - 20 minutes for word and sentence, phonology and scoring (each) - depending on examinees age, attention span, and articulation capabilities
Word Articulation:
Measure of articulatory ability in single words. Targets final consonants, consonant blends, vowels, and diphthongs (vocalic r)
Sentence Articulation:
Connected speech task that includes the same targets as the sounds in words portion
Phonology:
Measure of phonological impairment, FCD, stopping, gliding, etc.
These can be administered as subtests or one cohesive test to gather a wealth of info.
Normative Information: Individuals 18 months to 21 years who can adequately speak and understand english such that is is appropriate to test them with an English language test of articulation and phonology
