Reverse Evacuation
Staff
Are vigilant and consistently monitoring the outside environment. If the outside environment becomes unsafe staff will:
Alert students to safely and efficiently enter the school building.
Upon entry into the school building, determine if further steps are necessary and respond appropriately.
Students
Students are educated to know when outside the building, they should report suspicious activity or situations they believe to be unsafe.
Upon receiving instructions and or encountering an unsafe situation, students will:
Move quickly to re-enter the school building safely,
Will remain vigilant and quiet so they are able to follow any further instructions given by staff.
Families
Will not start receiving information until the initial threat has subsided and there is no longer an immediate threat.
Will more than likely start receiving texts—calls, or information via social media from sources other than the FSD.
Refrain from traveling to the affected school to avoid causing a delay in the FSD's ability to respond, thus potentially causing unnecessary harm or confusion for the FSD and Emergency Responders.
Please keep cell phone use to a minimum with students.
Monitor your phone, Social Media, and Media Outlets for information or instructions on the emergency and how families should respond.
