Respond To The Threat
Respond To The Threat
The FSD is limited on the types of threats that we can practice response to; however, Staff is trained to understand our responses can be utilized for any threat identified. Furthermore, it is understood that anyone can identify a threat and initiate a response. Specifically, staff are trained to "Utilize the information at hand to respond in a way to do the most good for the most people, mitigate harm and Save Lives!" The only actions during the response phase of Emergency Operations will be steps taken to mitigate the harm from the identified threat. DURING THE RESPONSE, the FSD will be unable or limited to engage with families that may attempt to call or arrive on campus to sign students out. Furthermore, such attempts will affect the FSD's ability to keep students safe.
