The Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team (7-7, 2-7 CC) gears up for two Centennial Conference (CC) matchups this week. The Diplomats travel to Carlisle to play Dickinson (10-4, 7-2 CC) on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, F&M returns to the Mayser Center to host Haverford (5-9, 2-7 CC) at 1:00 p.m.

The Diplomats went 1-2 in their three CC contests last week.
On the road at Muhlenberg, F&M used a big first half to jump ahead of the Mules. Muhlenberg chipped away at the Diplomat lead, but the visitors held them off late in the fourth quarter to win, 60-56. Lizzie Neville chipped in a season-high 16 points, while shooting 58.3 percent from the field. As a team, the Diplomats shot 39 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from beyond the arc. Returning to the Mayser Center two days after the victory, Franklin & Marshall was defeated against McDaniel, 53-39. The Diplomats struggled to make shots from the field early as the Green Terror jumped out to a 27-14 lead in the first half. F&M continued to fight, but McDaniel held off the Diplomats' comeback efforts to hold onto the victory. F&M fell to Swarthmore, 60-56, in overtime to wrap up the week. The Diplomats started slow with just four points in the first quarter, but battled back to cut the Swarthmore lead to 27-17 at halftime. F&M continued to chip away as a three-pointer from Neville tied the game at 39-all with 8:38 remaining in regulation. The Diplomats held a 49-46 lead with seconds on the clock, but a three-pointer from the Garnet tied the score and sent the game to overtime. From that point, the visitors outscored the Diplomats 11-7 in the overtime period to win. Neville tallied 14 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Dickinson is currently ranked third in the conference standings as they hold a five-game winning streak entering Wednesday's game against the Diplomats. Clair Marion ranks second in the conference in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game. Marion also ranks second in three pointers per game with 2.46, and first in the CC in steals where she averages three per contest.
