Welcome to ESL!

Greetings!

My name is Kim Morolda.  I am the English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher at Perry L. Drew School.  This will be my 12th year working as an ESL teacher and my 21st year as an educator.  

This school year I will be helping children to establish levels of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English.  Students will be meeting with me for 40 minutes every day.  The lessons will focus on building background knowledge, developing vocabulary, strengthening reading fluency/comprehension, responding to writing tasks, and participating in speaking exercises.  Instruction will be targeted to each student’s specific English language proficiency goals.   

I am very excited to work with all the English Language Learners at Drew, as well as their families.  I hope to work closely and hold a partnership with all families, so that we can look forward to a productive, positive, and enjoyable year together.
