Reporting to Parents

wellbeing review meetings

All pupils are supported through an individual support plan which will included specific targets identified through a social, emotional, language framework (SELF) which are arranged under the 7 wellbeing indicators order to capture children’s holistic needs.

Each target will be reviewed and evaluated at the end of the school term by all professionals supporting the child. Evaluations are shared and discussed further at parent’s nights and planned review meetings.

We aim to hold a Primary 1 settling in meeting in September/October and will also invite you to a review before Christmas and in the last term. Dates will be given in advance and we ask that you contact us should you be unable to attend.

PARENT/ Teacher meetings

Formal Parent/Teacher meetings take place twice in each school year during the first and last terms. If parents would like to speak to teachers about any aspect of their child’s learning at other points during the session appointments can be made by telephoning the school office.

END OF session REPORTS

An end of session pupil progress report is sent home in the last term. The report includes information about progress, attainment/achievement and next steps for learning.

EMAIL/ PHONE

We make use of e-mail and a text alert service. It is therefore very important to ensure that the school has up-to-date phone numbers and addresses, including those of your nominated emergency contacts. This is especially important if we have to contact you because your child is unwell or we need to notify you about an emergency closure of the school due to for example, bad weather.
