Create a designated space for your student to work.

Set up a general schedule. What time is wake up, breakfast, class, lunch and even play time? Even though Epic students have more freedom to work on a flexible schedule, all students need structure and clear expectations.

K-8th will need at least 3 one-subject notebooks or one 3-subject notebook. Students will take notes, make journal entries, illustrate concepts and provide responses using the notebook(s) for subject areas. 5th-12th grade students will use the notebook(s) but will also respond using google documents.

Make sure your student computer is running properly and has been updated recently. ALL Epic students should have their own computer, either personal or rented from Beasley.

Science is truly a "hands-on" endeavor. For around $20 a month and for ANY age, you will receive a crate each month that is age-specific to your child. You can spend an extra $10 to get a book that correlates to the activity, but for younger kids, Google and parents will be able to explain.

STEM activities are invaluable for our kids to be at the forefront in the future.
