Please provide the following documentation for a work study/internship portfolio FOR EACH SEMESTER THAT YOU RECEIVE 1/2 CREDIT:
1. Log 60 hours per semester. You can set up a log in Google docs and share it with your teacher. This can be copies of pay stubs that show hours worked or even a log of time that is signed by a supervisor. Get this to your teacher.
2. Submit the following three documents one time each school year:
a. Create both a resume and cover letter. Get help here: Resumes and Cover Letters for High School Students
b. Complete a research paper covering careers of interest including educational requirements and salary ranges. Get help here: Career Research Paper Directions
c. Write a Reflective Essay over the work study/volunteer/internship you did this semester.
1. You will do one project for each semester.
2. Community Project Ideas is a great site for ideas. You are free to think of your own.
3. Once the project is complete, you will share the following documents with your teacher:
Share a one page reflective essay in a Google Document detailing:
Description of the project
Why did you choose this project
Goals of the project
Results of the project
At least three pictures of you performing the project
Yes! You can attend college your senior year and receive high school credit! You will complete your financial aid application at: www.fafsa.gov and apply for admission to the colleges that are available to Epic Charter Schools for concurrent enrollment. Even if you do not live near the campus, most schools offer online courses. Should you choose to do this, get with your teacher and he or she can assist you with the process!
If you are planning to enroll concurrently, you may make application to the Institution of your choice by contacting their admissions office or visiting their website for an online application. You will need a transcript to finalize your enrollment. You may request your transcript by clicking on this link. For Spring, applications need to be submitted by December and for Fall, usually in March or April.

Senior students, who have not already done so, should make application to the college of their choice before fall semester ends in December. Seniors should apply for multiple scholarships for which they are qualified, including small and local opportunities.
