Once you've read those tabs COMPLETELY, then proceed with all of the instructions on the first days in the classroom. You can work ahead. You do not have to complete only one page per day.
1. Go to www.google.com.
2. Click Create account. Every student and parent needs his/her own Google account.
3. The signup form will appear. Follow the directions and enter the required information. Most all of your passwords at Epic will be "Epic1234." You might consider using this just for convenience.
4. Review Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, click the check box, then click Next step.
5. Here, you'll have an opportunity to set up recovery options. Recovery options are helpful if you forget your password or if someone tries to access your account. If you don't want to set up recovery options at this time, click Done.
6. Your account will be created, and the Google welcome page will appear.

Click on the Settings icon in your Google Account.
Next click on the Settings option and then scroll down the page until you find the My Picture option.
Choose a picture that represents you well - nothing inappropriate, but you already know this.
1. Go to mail.google.com.
2. Send an eMail to me at: alane.abrams@epiccharterschools.org and include your own personal cell phone number (if you have one), as well as introduction (your name and a little bit about you). This will give me your contact information. Include your profile photo for your Epicenter gradebook.
How do I get to my personal Google Mail?
1. Go to Google.com and click the circle avatar in the top right.
2. Click on Sign Out.
3. Click Remove Account.
4. Remove the @epiccharterschools.org account by clicking the "x" next to it.
5. Click "Use another account."
6. Sign into your personal Google account.
1. If you want to set a signature line for your email, then the settings page is the place to do that. This will automatically be placed at the bottom of your e-mails.
2. It should always include your full name and your phone number.
Log in to your Google account. You should see a little square of small boxes in the top right corner. This is called the "waffle." Click there to access your Google Calendar.

4. Add the Epic School Calendar to your Google Calendar by going to the Epic Center Homepage. Scroll down to the "School Calendar" located on the right side of the page. Click the blue + button and it will automatically add the Epic School Calendar to your Google Calendar. (see pictures below)
5. Add the 2018-2019 Academic Calendar to your Google calendar.
6. Always click "Yes" and/or "Accept" to all calendar invites from your teacher. If there is a problem with a day or time, send your teacher an e-mail and let he/she reschedule the event. This will keep YOUR calendar matching the teacher's calendar. NEVER DECLINE A CALENDAR INVITE.
