PASSIONATE DRAMATIST AND TALENTED SINGER
Year entered Emanuel: 2009 ATAR: 96.45
Emanuel is my second home and second family. The energy the School exudes is one of warmth and acceptance that makes all students feel as though they belong.
Shoshana (or Shoshi, as she is known), is a hard-working and conscientious student with a love for Drama, playing her clarinet and singing. As the Drama Madricha, she developed and ran the inaugural Dramadness event, where students attended engaging lunchtime performance workshops. Shoshi has starred in every High School production since Year 8 and most recently was nominated for OnSTAGE for her HSC Drama Group Performance by NESA (the NSW Education Standards Authority) – a superb result and a great honour.
Shoshi enjoyed taking part in extra-curricular activities, was a member of a number of school choirs and sang with the Gondwana National Choral School choir, with which she toured to the Kimberleys in 2014, where she learnt traditional Aboriginal song and dance.
Shoshi plans on spending a gap year in Israel as a result of her positive experiences on Chavayah, the School’s Year 10 six-week Israel program. She has been offered early acceptance into university for Psychology/Law at Macquarie University for showing “remarkable leadership skills and an aptitude for community service”.
Shoshi would like to be remembered as “a kind and friendly role model who inspired younger students to participate in the life of the School to their full capacity”.
