The School is extremely meaningful to me. I don’t think I could have had a more enjoyable time at school anywhere else.
During her time here, Jordana (Jordi) has proven herself to be an exemplary contributor to the life of the School and has actively engaged with all aspects of her education.
Academically, Jordi has been on the Principal’s List for Academic Effort or Achievement 11 times from 2012 to 2107. In addition to her strong academic record, she also excels in the areas of leadership and community service. Jordi was a Peer Support Leader in Year 11, spending time to help Year 7 students transition to High School. As Jewish Life Madricha she also worked tirelessly to enrich the spirituality of the School, helping to lead Torah and Shabbat services, and running engaging activities during Chaggim for the students.
Jordi is a passionate and accomplished flautist, having played in the Flute Ensemble and Copland Concert Band every year since Year 7. She sang in the Senior Choir for five years.
Jordi believes that she has learnt that “you need to persevere to achieve your goals”. Her teachers have supported this, commenting on her maturity and confidence as well as her determination, dedication and strong work ethic.
A highlight of Jordi’s High School experience was joining the School’s Northern Territory trip which took her to the Jilkminggan community and school when she was in Year 11. She described this time as an “eye opening and amazing experience”. Recognising her selfless dedication, Jordi’s teachers believe that her community-minded outlook will ensure that she will make a difference to the community and wider world.
