In your camp’s advertisements, include instructions for parents to register for the camp. Make the registration as easy as possible. Make sure you include several things in the registration process:
Set up your registration however you want. Online forms, such as Google Forms, can be a time saving method; however, it can be hard to coordinate payments with online forms. If you are not quite ready to go paperless, that’s fine. We post the registration form online, so parents can print it out. Then, they are instructed to turn the completed form and money to our high school’s athletic office. A team member collects any forms from the athletic office periodically. As you receive each registration, e-mail the camper’s parents to acknowledge their registration.
After registration, make a spreadsheet with all the camper’s information, which you should have with you at the camp. Some online registration methods (like Google Forms) will automatically create a spreadsheet for you.
