EGYM Points System

  • Members receive EGYM points for every workout they complete and record in the app.

  • The number of points is personalized based on body type, as well as duration, and intensity of training.

  • There are six activity levels, and the more points you collect, the higher your level will be. View the EGYM Points Calculation sheet below for more info.

  • Your Activity Level points are based on a 28 day rolling cycle to motivate you to stay consistent.

  • Compare your EGYM points to others in your team or to your fitness club as a whole on the leaderboard. These points for Gym Rankings reset to zero each calendar month.

Why do I lose points even if I have exercised?

The EGYM points and activity levels are based on a 28 day cycle. Users must achieve a certain number of EGYM points to maintain their activity level and ranking. If a user earned 200 points on May 30th, and 29 days later they only earned 100 points, their overall point total will be lowered by 100 points. This 28 day cycle was based on the concept of Use it or Lose it. Fitness and health gains will revert if exercise is not performed on a consistent basis.

*This rolling 28 day cycle only applies to the EGYM Fitness App, not the Branded Member App.

EGYM Points Calculation

Why did I move down an activity level?

The activity levels correlate with a WHO recommendation of physical activity. Physical activity minimums and the correlating points must be achieved every 28 days to maintain your current activity level. If the required number of EGYM points needed to maintain your current activity level are not met in those 28 days you'll be relegated to the next activity level. If you achieve enough points to be promoted a level, this will be your new activity level for the next 28 day cycle.

How can a member change their email address?

Members should login to their EGYM account at www.egym.com to update their email address. Once completed the new email will auto-populate into their member app and the trainer app. Trainers can also use the trainer app to update a members email address. However in either case, the member must confirm the new email before any permanent changes adhere.

Member App <> Trainer App Integration

  • Any activity that members record in the Fitness App will be available to review in the Trainer App.

  • This allows trainers to give advice based on accurate training data.

  • The training app, explained in the next section of the guide, can also be used to prescribe workout plans directly to members.
