Machine FAQ's

What should I use to clean the EGYM machines?

Upholstery and Frame

A mild soap and water solution in a spray bottle is recommended. Always spray the cloth first then wipe the machines. Sanitizer wipes such as Endurance Wipes are also fine to use on pads and frame.

Touch screen

Use a microfiber cloth similar to what you would use on a smartphone or tablet screen. Make sure the cloth is non-abrasive. Never spray any solution, if used, on the screen directly as this can cause the screen to malfunction.

Why does the circuit timer reset to 80 seconds when not in use?

  • The EGYM circuit timer is set for 110 seconds cycle. A portion of that time is for work and a portion is for rest. One of the EGYM pillars is individualization. In order to achieve this, the training parameters of each training goal and method are modified to provide the best training stimulus for each user.

  • The duration of a set can range from 80 seconds of work (for Weight Loss during the Regular method) to 42 seconds of work (for Body toning on the Adaptive training method). If 80 seconds of the 110 cycle is for work, then 30 seconds is reserved for resting and switching machines. If 42 seconds of the 110 is the work cycle then 68 seconds is for resting and switching machines.

  • Because the longest work interval is 80 seconds, the software automatically defaults to this time. When a user logs in to begin training, the timer will automatically adjust according to their program. Users can log in at any point but its best to login during the blue rest phase to maximize training time.

  • Users with shorter rest periods should move more quickly between machines and log in to begin working at their expected time.
