Understanding plants

This term we are looking at living things in Science and started by discussing pollination and plant reproduction. We dissected some flowers so we could have a good look at the different parts of a flower and better understand their function in the pollination process.

A Day in Ancient Athens

On Friday, Year 5 were transported to Ancient Athens to end their Ancient Greece topic with a fun-filled day of activity, excitement and creativity. In the morning, they spent their time making a range of Greek objects whilst hearing news from the war against Persia. In the afternoon, they heard that the war was won and celebrated in the traditional Athenian way by performing plays to each other.
