Full steam ahead for STEAM in Term 3 2020!

STEAM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Australia is the only country in the world that includes the A in STEAM so often you will see articles about STEM and that is the same thing.

During Term 3 we will be doing activities in STEAM that link to National Science Week for Schools 15-23 August, a virtual tour of the Melbourne Zoo, skyscraper construction competitions and lots more activities that are hands-on and often inspired by things the students would like to explore and investigate. The STEAM classroom also links in well with the Lego Masters virtual classroom.

STEAM at Old Orchard is geared to Grade 3-6 students but younger students are welcome to join as well. I hope to see lots of students in the STEAM classroom very soon.
