There is new content added every day! To find the library content Look in the CLASSWORK materials folders.
There are stories for fun and also stories that complement Special Days and Inquiry Units.
You’ll also find some of our most popular Readers and Quick Reads.
There is a range of non fiction: some which is also linked to Inquiry Units and some for general interest. You’ll also find articles from the news that tie in with the Grade 5 and 6 Inquiry Units.
There is a folder for STEAM for Grades 3-6 and also the texts that are being used in HEIDI ART for weekly art activities for the Prep-2 year levels.
There are also plenty of resources about things to do. There are extracts from books and other resources about art activities, recipes, science experiments and some stress-down as well as keeping-active ideas.
Do click on the View More button at the bottom of the page to find more folders. There are lots of folders with lots of things to read.
The content of the digital library reflects what seems to be most read going by student comments, or it is linked to what students are learning about.
If there is something that your children would like added - fiction or non fiction - do let me know. If there is material in the OOPS library, and I have enough time, I will try to add it for you.
Looking for Books, especially Novels?
Do also have a look at your local public library online (eg Whitehorse Manningham). They have many digital copies available for loan. There are a couple of free Apps that you can download to use this system. I find Libby is the most user friendly.
Digital copies are automatically returned at the end of the loan period, which means no fines.
