Description:
Visual Arts engages students in the practices of artmaking, art criticism and art history. Students develop their own artworks, culminating in a Body of Work for the HSC. This reflects students’ knowledge and understanding about artmaking practice and demonstrates their ability to produce a conceptually strong artwork. Students critically investigate artworks, critical and historical interpretations of artworks and artists from across cultures, traditions and times. The Preliminary Course provides a broad scope of artmaking and focused artist study opportunities, while the HSC Course provides for deeper, increasingly more independent investigations.
