Description:
The Music 2 course allows Stage 6 students to continue developing musical knowledge and skills, an understanding of music in social, cultural and historical contexts, and music as an art form through performance, composition, musicology and aural activities. They will develop the ability to synthesise ideas and evaluate music critically and build an awareness and understanding of the impact of technology on music.

Course must be studied with: Nil
Course cannot be studied with: Music 1
Major work(s): In addition to core studies in performance, composition, musicology and aural, HSC students nominate ONE elective study in Performance, Composition or Musicology. This elective must represent 1 of the additional topics studied in the course and is weighted evenly with the compulsory components.
Other course requirement(s): Students must complete Music 2 to access Music Extension for the HSC
Course fee will cover: Noteflight and Soundtrap subscriptions, consumables, and scores
