Bella Vista Farm


Bella Vista Farm is located on Elizabeth Macarthur Drive. It is in the suburb of Bella Vista.

The site that Bella Vista Farm stands on has been used since the 1790s for agriculture. Agriculture means the land was used for growing crops and rearing animals to provide food, wool and other products.

The area was mainly known for citrus fruit growing.

Bella Vista Farm is open on the first Sunday of every month for people to visit. Events are also held on the site.



It is heritage listed for a few different reasons:

  • Parts of an old rural properties and buildings still exist

  • It is home to some endangered flora such as the indigenous eucalypt tree

  • The history between Aboriginal people and European settlers

  • Evidence of the history of the Macarthur Family and other pioneer families

  • Evidence of old roads used by cattle to transport food and produce

  • Found written evidence of domestic and agricultural life at the time
