Metro Line

Planning for the Sydney Metro Northwest began all the way back in the 1990s. That's about 30 years ago!

There were lots of problems about where the stations would go and what buildings and areas would be impacted.

The Hills Centre, some train lines and bus routes were just a few of the things impacted by the Metro.

Lots of vacant land was also taken up by the Metro line.

The Metro has 13 stations in total.

This means there were 13 very large areas used to build these stations and their carparks.
