Science: Bee's Knees!

The Stage 3 unit “The Bee’s Knees” is an integrated unit, encompassing Science, English, Mathematics and Technology. While the focus of the unit is how honey is produced for human consumption, the importance of bees in food production is also explored. It incorporates practical tasks to illustrate concepts as well as the real world experience of learning more about the school’s resident native bees.

Resource Box contains a variety of products derived from honey or bee’s wax, resources for practical tasks and a folder containing the program, worksheets and other relevant material.
