Science: The Chicken or the egg

The “Chicken or the Egg?” unit explores how eggs are produced for human consumption. It incorporates practical tasks to illustrate concepts as well as the real world experience of learning more about the school’s resident chickens. Students will be asked to consider the ethical issues around egg production systems.

Term 1 Week 8

Make an egg meal (with parent/carer support), e.g. scrambled eggs, hard boiled egg, quiche

Write the steps involved / recipe

Discuss with family which eggs they purchase & why (free range / barn laid / caged)
