Under the leadership of Mr. Chhewag Tobgay, Mr. Passang, Mr. Tshering Wangchuk, and Mrs. Chandrika Neopany, the Photography and Videography Club orchestrated a captivating photo exhibition at school. This event showcased the talents within the club and celebrated their achievements. The dedicated members of the club submitted a collection of photographs, each captured following comprehensive training under the guidance of the club's mentors. Notably, a considerable portion of the exhibition was graced by landscape and bird photographs, courtesy of Mr. Mani Wangdi, an educator at the same school. The Mentor-Mentee PD session was led by two resource persons from Samtse Higher Secondary School: Mrs. Choki and Mrs. Phub Dem. Throughout the PD, they imparted their invaluable experiences, success stories, and encountered challenges during the conduct of the mentor and mentee session at their school. Through an engaging presentation, participants were taken on a journey through the fundamental concepts of mentorship. Mrs. Choki and Mrs. Phub Dem discussed the roles of mentors and mentees, shedding light on the qualities that make an exceptional mentor. Additionally, they emphasized the vital aspect of maintaining confidentiality while nurturing the mentor-mentee relationship.

Samtse LSS families came together to celebrate International Youth Day, aligning with the global theme, "Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World". The event enjoyed the presence of distinguished guests, including Thromdey Thuimi, Education Officers, parents, and teachers. The day was marked by the recognition of outstanding achievements - certificates were awarded to the top performers of the mid-term exams and the victor of the national story-telling competition. Furthermore, the occasion showcased the talents of various clubs such as Arts and Crafts, Crochet, Home Science, Basket Weaving, and Mat Making through a captivating exhibition.

The inaugural School Management Board (SMB) meeting was convened on August 10, 2023, with the Chairperson of the SMB, who also serves as the Gup of the Samtse Gewog, presiding over the proceedings. The Secretary of SMB, Mr Dorji Wangchuk, Principal, extended a formal welcome to all attendees, highlighting that the board members were elected during the Parent-Teacher Meeting. The central objective of this meeting was to delineate and disseminate the roles and responsibilities of the SMB, fostering a collaborative framework for the school's development. Mr Rinchen Norbu presented the roles and responsibilities of the SMB, followed by Mr Mani Wangdi on the Status of school and academic performance, and Mr Sonam Tshering on the challenges faced by the school. These presentations were followed by discussions on the pertinent issues and the way foreward.

The Academic Review Meeting 2.0 delved extensively into the discussion of mid-term performance outcomes. Every participant actively took part in the discussion, contributing to the formulation of pragmatic solutions aimed at enhancing academic performance of students. These solutions comprised initiatives like organizing remedial classes, reevaluating grouping and pairing strategies, and developing action plans to enhance overall academic performance. In addition to these important deliberations, the meeting also explored strategies for fostering a contemporary approach to the use of the dzongkha language, aligning with the school's commitment to promoting a fashionable speaking style.

On the occasion of World Scarf Day, Samtse DSA took great pride in bestowing upon Mr. Kinzang Wangchuk, the Dzongkhag Scouts Commissioner of Samtse, four distinguished Beads of the Leaders Trainer – the highest level attainable for a Scout Leader. This momentous presentation took place in the presence of the Samtse LSS family and the Principal DEO, Mr Chimmi Tshewang. Mr. Ratan Rai, a Senior LT, representing the Bhutan Scouts Association ceremoniously bestowed the Bead.

Samtse LSS had the honor of presenting its mid-year progress report to the PDEO and DyCDEO. During the session, a shared consensus emerged on the significance of actively seeking input from students and colleagues, and embracing feedback constructively. Additionally, the discussion shed light on the pressing matter of inadequate proficiency in Dzongkha speaking and writing skills. The collective recognition of this issue underscored its critical nature, warranting immediate attention. The pivotal role of inculcating Driglam Namzha values in molding students' character was also acknowledged.
