The first biannual Academic Review Meeting was held to review the status of implemented academic programs. A total of 14 agenda items were discussed and resolved during the meeting. Additionally, the meeting also focused on student feedback and how to implement it in the future. The floor was open for discussions, and participants shared their thoughts on various topics related to academics.

The school staff and students participated in the STEM Fest at Samtse College of Education, themed "Engaging with STEM in Education" on April 22. The festival featured 32 prototype models created by the SCE STEM department, including a Wastewater Treatment plant, a Complaint Management System web app, and locally brewed jackfruit wine. The festival was a Learning Fair for the students who eagerly engaged in hands-on experiences and asked numerous questions.

Every Monday is designated as Cultural Day, during which all staff members are required to wear a Kabney during the morning assembly. This initiative is aimed at inculcating the values of age-old traditions and culture in young minds. Additionally, students are encouraged to refrain from consuming meat on Mondays, in an effort to promote vegetarianism and respect for all living beings. By observing such cultural practices, the school hopes to instill a sense of cultural awareness and responsibility in its students.

Samtse LSS engages its students and staff in mass cleaning campaigns outside the school campus to maintain a clean and green environment. This initiative aims to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment and encourage students to develop good habits of cleanliness and hygiene. By participating in these campaigns, students also learn about the importance of keeping their surroundings clean, which can have a positive impact on their health and well-being. The School staff, led by the principal, bid farewell to Dasho Dzongdag on April 13 as a part of the school's "See Off" program, which was introduced two years ago to revive the culture that was lost due to modernization. The program aims to promote traditional values and practices by honoring respected individuals, Education family and promoting cultural events. By participating in such events, the school hopes to instill cultural pride and awareness in students.

The Academic Enhancement Plan features a quarterly test that started on April 6 and ends on April 13. The purpose of the test is to enhance student performance through regular assessments. It covers a range of topics that students have learned and aims to evaluate their comprehension. Students are expected to demonstrate their understanding of the materials covered during this period. The test results will help guide future teaching and learning strategies.

Following the successful prefect election, the non-academic head of the school organized an orientation session for all the newly elected prefects and student coordinators. During this session, the head outlined their roles and responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of leadership and teamwork. The prefects were briefed on the rules and regulations of the school, and were encouraged to maintain discipline and decorum among their peers.

The Bhutan National Commission for UNESCO, in partnership with the National Federation of UNESCO Association in Japan, awarded a group of exceptional students for their participation in the Enikki Festa literary and art competition. The students received certificates and gifts as tokens of appreciation for their impressive performance in the previous year's competition.
