Confidence isn't something children are born with - it's something they build over time through love, encouragement and opportunities to grow. Here are a few ways to help your child develop confidence:
Encourage effort, not just results - Praise their hard work and persistence, not just the outcome.
Let them mahe decision - Give them age appropriate choices to build independence.
Allow mistakes - Teach them mistakes and failure are apart of the learning process, not something to fear.
Model self confidence - Show them what it look s like to believe in yourself.
Listen and validate - Let them know their thoughts and feeling matters.
Give them responsibilities - Small tasks help them feel capable and valued.
Confidence comes from feeling loved, supported and capable. The more we empower children, the more they'll believe in themselves!
