Earth & Space Science 7

Grade 7 Science Course Description

The 7th grade Science curriculum focuses mainly on Earth and Space Science.

Students begin the year with a review of the Scientific Method while focusing more on the experimental design process.

Students will learn how to accurately measure volume, mass, and density using the appropriate tools and equipment. In addition, they are taught how to properly light and adjust the flame of a Bunsen burner, a tool they will use in future science classes at both the middle and high school level.

Geology deals with the earth's physical structure and composition and the processes that occur on it.

Astronomy is the study of space and celestial objects. We will focus mainly on the Sun-Earth-Moon system and all the effects that they cause.

Meteorology is a branch of science concerned with the processes of the atmosphere.
